II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): HMRC has a
requirement for the provision of managed services at its residential staff
training facility, Lawress Hall, Lincoln. Site facilities include 127
study bedrooms, 11 lecture rooms, 20 syndicate rooms, a computer training
room, a 130 seat conference room, a resource centre, a library and leisure
facilities. The intention is to award a single contract and applications
are invited from organisations capable of providing all of the following:
(1) Hotel Administration services (to include reception, security, site
support, staff and management); (2) Training Office support services (to
include office support, porterage services, training administration
support, secretarial and typing services); (3) Catering and Bar services
(to include menus, pricing, staffing and management); (4) Cleaning and
Housekeeping services (to include linen service, chambermaids and staff
liaison arrangements); (5) Leisure services (to include swimming pool,
lifeguard provision, multi gym, sauna, jacuzzi, solarium and games room).
The value given in II.2.1 is an estimate only for the initial 3 year
period of the contract. Given the nature of the requirement, it is
expected that between 5 and 10 applicants will be invited to tender.
Applicants attention is also drawn to the reference to the Transfer of
Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (TUPE) Regulations 2006 within
VI.3 (Additional Information).Hotel and restaurant services.
