is the National Tourism Development Authority, established by the Irish
Government in May 2003 to guide and promote the evolution of tourism as a
leading indigenous component of the Irish economy. To this end, Fáilte
Ireland, working in partnership with the tourism industry provides an
extensive range of support services and business solutions designed
specifically to develop and sustain Ireland as a high-quality and
competitive tourism destination.
Our vision for Irish tourism is that of a dynamic, innovative, sustainable
and highly regarded sector offering international and domestic visitors a
positive and memorable experience beyond their expectations.
Fáilte Ireland currently operates a training centre located in the Tycor
Business Centre in Waterford City and requires a Service/Provider to
provide the services outlined below.
This centre is c. 7 000 square feet and includes training kitchen,
training restaurant, training bar and associated facilities and also
houses two Fáilte Ireland staff, who have no involvement with the training
centre operation. There are c.45 trainees in situ at all times during the
term of this contract, engaged in programmes to FETAC level 4 (please
refer to www.fetac.ie for further information on FETAC programmes).
