II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): GSCC (or any
successor organisation that fulfils that role in the future) seeks offers
for the provision of services to support the registration and
administration of individuals and organisations engaged in providing
social care services in the UK. The services will be provided from the
successful supplier's own premises. The services may include: • handling
enquiries and requests made to GSCC via telephone, textphone, Short
Message Service (SMS) text, e-mail, internet, fax and whitemail channels •
providing services over additional channels as required by GSCC when
future technology becomes available • providing fulfilment services such
as dispatching application forms, enclosures or personalised letters and
certificates • providing collaborative electronic application completion
over the telephone • updating an in-house registration database •
processing transactions and supporting user organisations for the
validation of certificates, applications, qualifications • processing
financial transactions • conducting customer surveys • maintaining records
of contacts and providing management information in accordance with
defined procedures. • conducting analysis of customer experience,
effectiveness of service and customer service process • support to GSCC to
develop processes and forms for registrations The successful supplier may
also handle communications in other languages besides English. The GSCC
therefore requires a multi-language capability. Initially the only other
language required is Welsh.
