four participating Authorities have received BIG Lottery Funding for
delivery of childrens play (Total 590K GBP over three years). Each of the
Authorities has identified the need for a Play Ranger Service in
developing their play strategies and in supporting their lottery bids.
The Play Ranger Scheme is designed to allow children to access a wide
range of community based play opportunities, focusing particularly on
areas of social depravation where play provision is poor.
The contract will deliver a comprehensive scheme that will meet and exceed
the desired outcomes required by the BIG Lottery, The Somerset Play
Partnership and the individual Authorities.
