of the 1960's built, 2-storey, wet & dry Activities Leisure Centre in
Haverhill, Suffolk.
The works consist of a complete external envelope scheme, including
modernisation of all elveations, re-cladding of walls and re-covering of
flat roofs; formation of a new reception and associated offices and
services; enlargement of the existing fitness suite; modernisation of wet
and dry changing facilities; formation of new tiered poolside spectator
viewing; conversion of 2 squash courts to a new activities area;
re-location of administrative offices; upgrading of facilities and
services to current DDA, Health and Safety and Energy Conservation
legislation; general structural repairs and re-decoration.
It is proposed that the contract will commence on-site in the second
quarter of calendar year 2008 and will have a contract period of between 9
and 12 months.
