SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): North Wales
Police are seeking to appoint a Contractor or Contractors that can provide
a fully comprehensive Vehicle Hire Service 24/7 365 days per year
throughout the 3 geographical areas that North Wales Police are
responsible for, as detailed below.
• Eastern Division – encompassing the counties of Wrexham and Flintshire.
• Central Division – encompassing the counties of Conwy and Denbighshire.
• Western Division – encompassing Anglesey and Gwynedd.
A full range of vehicles is required and models should allow the option
for manual and automatic, petrol or diesel. The list below is intended as
an example and not an exhaustive list.
• Small cars 1,0 L – 1,2 L.
• Medium cars 1,2 L – 1,4 L.
• Large cars 1,4 L – 2,3 L.
• Estates 1,6 L – 2,3 L.
• MPV 7 seater.
• Mini Buses (12, 15 and 17 seater).
• Vans.
• 4 x 4.
Preference will be given to those suppliers that are already able to
accept payment at Visa Level 3 or can evidence through Method Statements
that they have an implementation plan that could be realised within 6
months of the contract start date.

areas detailed. Estimated value has been based on past usage and no
guarantee of volume can be made in respect to this contract.
