Trade package design responsibility: Temporary works design. steelwork
connection details, steelwork fabrication drawings, envelope development
and detailing, envelope installation drawings.
Bulk excavation across site to reduce level. Construction of rotunda and
stand access tower bases, Completion of apron concrete around rotunda and
stand access towers. Construction of head of stand road. Excavate and lay
surface water drainage, hardcore piling mats and beds. Provision and
maintenance of temporary site roads. Piling including test piles if
required. Below slab drainage and services, Provision of lightening mats
and earth rods, Fixing of holding down bolts and subsequent grouting.
Provision of concrete bases, pile caps, ground beams, walls, concrete
cores, ground slabs and concrete slabs to upper floors. Provision of
pre-formed and post formed service penetrations. Provision of inserts e.g.
'Halfen' bracketry or equivalent, Provision of plant bases, plinths and
service trenches. All primary, secondary steelwork and permanent formwork.
Edge protection. Pier E Envelope to include aluminium standing seam
roofing, high performance vertical glazing with supporting aluminium
framework, vertical solar shading, cantilevered bris soleil, rooflight
glazing, solid insulated composite panels, rainscreen panels, mechanical
and insulated louvers, aluminium rain water pipes, etc. Access system to
roof and 'man safe' systems on roof with mesh walkways onto standing seam
roof, Single glazed with supporting structure to the internal vertical
circulation area, Attendance on lifts, escalators and conveyors
installation (delivery and install by others). Travelators are included in
this package, Provision of secondary steelwork associated with the M&E
services installation.
