II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The successful
Tenderer will be required to provide waste management services for Bus
Eireann at specified depots nationwide. This will include but is not
limited to the removal and responsible disposal of an assortment of "dry"
mixed waste streams from specified locations. The successful Tenderer will
also be required to provide appropriate waste receptacles at specified
locations for proper segregation of collectible wastes. The contract term
awarded to the successful Tenderer shall be for a minimum of 3 years with
an option to extend same for a further 1 or 2 years. This option will be
solely at the discretion of Bus Eireann. Please note that this contract
was advertised under the 'Negotiated Procedure' guideline. It is Bus
Eireann's intention to negotiate with selected tenderers.
