II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: ESB Power Generation owns and operates a
number of generation stations in the Republic of Ireland and wishes to
place a Contract for the supply and implementation of a computerised plant
isolation/permitting system, including follo wup technical support.
The scope includes the supply and configuration of system software to meet
the requirements of the ESB Safety Rules. The scope excludes IT
infrastructure.
ESB Power Generation expects that that the computerised plant
isolation/permitting system will include the following capabilities and
characteristics: (1) Managing permitting for the isolation of power
generation plant and issuing Permits to Work based on a number of linked
isolation certificates. (2) Issuing a range of specialised documents in
support of Permits to Work (e.g. Hot Work Permit, Confined Space Entry
Permit, Temporary Restoration of Power Supply Permit, Permit to Excavate,
Permit to Dive, Permit to Remove Asbestos, Permit Gas Free Certificate,
Contractor Safety Checklist, Contractor Environmental Checklist, Risk
Assessment, Method Statement). (3) Having a proven track record within the
power generation industry.
ESB invites expressions of interest from vendors in the provision of a
system to meet Power Generation requirements. Your response should be
delivered by email to the above contact name.
