8 units of self contained accommodation on Sherbrooke Road, Daybrook for
people moving on from Elizabeth House. The service will provide an average
of 3 hours direct support (per person) per week up to a maximum of 10
hours per week. The contract for this housing related support service is
intended to run from approximately April 2009. The contract length will be
for a period of two years (with an option to extend at the council's sole
discretion for up to a further period of 12 months). This will be a short
term service, the expectation is that service users will require support
for a maximum of two years although many will require a much shorter
period of support. It is anticipated that the average length of stay will
be 9-12 months. The service will be provided for men and women over the
age of 16 and will support single people or couples where flats are large
enough. The organisation must have experience of providing similar
services for this client group. Staffing arrangements shall be flexible to
ensure that visits can be arranged at a time suitable for service users.
This may include some evening and weekends, cover arrangements must be
available for staff absences. TUPE may apply to certain employees of the

LOT NO 1
TITLE: UK-Nottingham: Temporary Accommodation for Single Homeless People
in South Notts & Newark
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION: Provision of Temporary Accommodation for Single
Homeless People in South Notts and Newark. Housing services. Social work
services with accommodation.
2) COMMON PROCUREMENT VOCABULARY (CPV): 85311000.
3) QUANTITY OR SCOPE: Lot 1 - Supported Housing Accommodation (Elizabeth
House)Ref - 0803 SH/01 21 units of self contained accommodation for
homeless people located in Daybrook, Gedling. These units are all one
bedroomed flats. There is one flat at ground floor level fully accessible
for wheelchair users. The contract for this housing related support
service is intended to run from approximately 6.4.2009. The contract
length will be for a period of three years (with an option to extend at
the council's sole discretion for up to a further period of 12 months).
This will be a short term service, the expectation is that service users
will require support for a maximum of 2 years although many will require a
much shorter period of support. It is anticipated that the average length
of stay will be 3 months. The service will be provided for men and women
over the age of 16 and will support single people and a maximum of 2
childless couples at any one time. A maximum of five units to be available
at any one time for 16/17 year olds. The organisation must have experience
of providing similar services for this client group. A minimum of 2
support staff must be on duty between 8:00 and 22:00 7 days per week to
carry out housing related support tasks. Overnight cover is required. This
will consist of a minimum of one support worker providing housing related
support and one additional worker covering housing management and security
activities. It is expected that the additional worker will be funded by
Housing Benefit eligible service charges. Cover arrangements must be
available for staff absences. TUPE may apply to certain employees of the
current service provider.
LOT NO 2

intended to run from approximately 6.4.2009. The contract length will be
for a period of two years (with an option to extend at the council's sole

maximum of 10 hours per week. The contract for this housing related
support service is intended to run from approximately April 2009. The
contract length will be for a period of two years (with an option to
extend at the council's sole discretion for up to a further period of 12
months). This will be a short term service, the expectation is that
service users will require support for a maximum of two years although
