II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Requests to
participate are being sought from design teams to develop detailed design
proposals for a new 7,5 hectare employment area within in a total site
area of 42 hectares, the balance of which will be used for recreational
purposes, both passive and active for a site in a former colliery in
Snowdown, Kent.
Suitably qualified design teams will be expected to provide:
1. Design and supervision of the infrastructure and landscaping for the
entire site.
2. Design and supervision of a building(s) of approx 3 000 - 5 000 m² to
establish the site quality for the remaining site phases.
3. A proposal that will be a recognised leader in sustainable high quality
design that can be replicated in the whole or in part elswhere in the
South East of England for similar projects.
4. An expression of interest with the necessary information as set out in
the remainder of this notice is required.
A short list of teams will be selected and invited for interview and fee
bidding, with the view that the preferred team will be selected.
